Portland Culture

A crazy class trip last year
I enjoy that everything I need is in walking distance: mall, grocery, school, etc. I go many places without having to get a ride. I also bike a lot to get to farther places which is why a bike is a symbol of my culture. This also shows how transportation is and aspect of my culture because I always walk or bike. My style is also influenced by my culture because it often rains, so I wear a raincoat, rain boots, and a beanie hat.

Profession Culture

A project I did last year
I enjoy Photoshop and making pictures on the computer. I work with the program Paint as well as other programs for graphic design. I often design my own clip art for school projects by drawing and editing them using the computer. A symbol of this aspect of my culture is my computer that I use all the time. My tool v.s. toy reflects my culture, as I use my computer for a tool and my iPod touch as a toy.

Girl Culture

I enjoy talking and hanging out with my friends at the mall and other places around Portland. We chat, try on clothes, and do stupid things together because we are just that cool. I carry makeup with me and usually a purse which are symbols of my female culture. My clothing represents my culture because I wear things like skinny jeans and leggings, as well as jewelry and makeup which boys (usually) don't do. My style of speech also reflects my culture, I speak in a "girly" way.
